Clint Robertson

From battlefield to books

Clint came from a family with a tradition of military service and completed basic training for the Army before he graduated from high school. In 13 years in the military he traveled to 74 countries and trained for numerous jobs.

Clint was wounded in combat in Afghanistan. He earned both the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star Medal with the combat "V" for his valor. But the brutal attack took away his life plan of a career in military service. “I suffered a traumatic brain injury and basically had to relearn everything. I spent two years in recovery,” Clint said.

Clint learned of CCC’s commitment to veterans and received critical assistance in navigating the benefits process. CCC was able to award Clint 63 credits for the training he received in the military, which ranged from vehicle maintenance to counter-intelligence and psychological operations.

Clint completed an associate of General Studies degree and is on track to graduate with a business transfer degree. He plans to continue at Marylhurst University, earning a bachelor’s degree in business leadership.
