to the ELC Sustainability Endowment.
Clackamas Community College would like to invite you to be a part of a community-wide effort to help preserve and maintain what has long been a gem on the Oregon City Campus – the Environmental Learning Center.
The ELC Giving Tree
For $250 a leaf will be handcrafted in your honor and welded onto the ELC Giving Tree. Donors will be recognized on nearby signage.
Funded by the CCC Foundation, the ELC Giving Tree is a beautiful sculpture created in honor of the College’s 50th Anniversary. It will be prominently rooted near the entrance of the Environmental Learning Center. This metal beauty is a collaborative between CCC’s Welding and Art departments.
Every leaf on the ELC Giving Tree will represent a gift from a community or CCC staff member. 100% of the proceeds from the ELC Giving Tree will go towards an endowment targeted to maintaining the site once it is restored in 2017.
Thanks to a Metro Nature in Neighborhood grant, community members and the College, the Headwaters of Newell Creek Restoration Project at the Environmental Learning Center will help redevelop the 5-acre site into a regionally significant outdoor learning laboratory that will showcase innovation in storm water management, landscape design and sustainable living practices.
The ELC Sustainability Endowment will ensure that the site once restored will be maintained for generations to come.
