Automotive FFX – New Cars
The Foundation received a generous donation in 2025 from Terry and Cheryl Holden, longtime supporters with a passion for career and technical education. This gift enabled the Automotive Department to purchase eight new vehicles, replacing an aging fleet. The new vehicles come equipped with the latest technology, including infotainment and climate control systems, ADAS features, and other modern comforts, helping create an engaging, hands-on learning environment for students.
The purchased vehicles include two 2023 Nissan Versas, a 2024 Chevrolet Malibu, a 2024 Hyundai Elantra, a 2022 Nissan Sentra, a 2017 GMC Yukon Denali, a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and a 2022 Kia Soul. Some of the vehicles are slightly damaged, allowing the department’s body shop students to gain additional hands-on repair experience, making this a win-win for both the service and repair sides of the program. Updating the fleet ensures that students are working with vehicles that reflect today’s technology and industry standards.
Automotive Service Technology instructor Nick Roberts said, “Receiving a donation like this has allowed us to update high school automotive programs in the area with newer vehicles, improving learning outcomes and providing instructors the tools they need to prepare students for the workforce with today’s vehicle technology.”
Thanks to the Holdens’ generosity, CCC continues to provide a high-quality, innovative, and responsive education for automotive students, ensuring they graduate ready to succeed in today’s workforce.
